Early Beginnings

Global Directories began publishing directories in 1960 with the Bermuda Telephone Directory. We took this publication and made it into a robust information resource while it was under the auspices of our parent company at that time, Island Press Limited.

We were also on the leading edge of technology as we were early adopters of a complete digital process using enter-it-once technology. It allowed us to publish highly accurate, high quality directories.

Expanding Our Borders

In 2002 we found the shores of Bermuda to be limiting our ability to expand the business and we began publishing nine directories in the Caribbean: Anguilla, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Montserrat, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and Turks & Caicos, as well as the regional import-export directory, the Caribbean Yellow Pages.

Soon we were also producing the Aruba and Bonaire directories. By 2004 we added Grenada and Barbados and in 2006 we added Jamaica to our portfolio. For the last 3 years we have provided our expertise and oversight to publish the Trinidad & Tobago directory. Our first publication in Roatan, Honduras will be published in 2011.

New Frontiers

As the methods of finding information changes, so do we.  In 2004 we added internet versions of all our directories and more recently added mobile access as well. While the print directories continue to have strong and growing usage we recognize the need to provide the same ability to connect buyers and sellers online.

We have introduced websites, video and search engine marketing to ensure that our customers have the same great return on investment that they have had for decades in the print Yellow Pages.
