Red advertising & marketing, the creative agency which developed and executed the ambient campaign also won a Gold and Silver award for the Hello Yellow mixed media and television productions respectively.
Pam Roach, Marketing Manager of Global Directories/Barbados Yellow Pages praised Red for creating a campaign which effectively spread the word about their services:
“We wanted to increase awareness of the value and ease of the service we offer, and charged Red with the task of developing a creative campaign to grab the attention of Barbadians. They presented us with an amazing concept which was only topped by its execution, and we commend them for successfully putting Global Directories/Barbados Yellow Pages top of mind in the marketplace.”
Jevan Jutagir, Managing Director of Red advertising & marketing commented on the awards, “Absolutely anything you want you can find in the Yellow Pages, either in the book or online. What a great proposition to work with! Red did not want to limit this concept to traditional advertising and media, it was much bigger than that! “Hello Yellow” needed to be everywhere, and could be anything. Red came up with our “Paint the Town Yellow” ambient campaign. Ambient advertising was perfect for the task, if it could be painted yellow and carry our message it was fair game – snowcone carts, cars, surfboards- anything people needed we could use. The possibilities were endless, even down to our most recent retail windows with Abed’s. What was fantastic was that the public then rewarded our client, taking the campaign virally, with many people posting pictures of their favourite execution. We then poured fuel on this fire with a social media promotion on Facebook which has already driven thousands more impressions and votes. I would like to thank Pam Roach and the rest of the team at Global Directories for backing us on and believing in this unique campaign”.
The ADDY Awards is the creative award show of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) of which the Caribbean Advertising Federation (CAF) is a member. The awards are 3 tiered with local shows and awards which feed into regional shows (the CAF is part of the 4th District region which includes Florida, The Caribbean and Puerto Rico) which in turn feed into a National show.
