When the second edition of the Home Expo comes around, there is no doubt that one particular lady will be in attendance.
This is because, after visiting the three-day 2011 Butterfield Home Expo at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre (LESC) under the theme “Dream It!” Rosemary Spencer walked away with the grand prize provided by the sponsors.
Butterfield, Harris Paints, Barbados Yellow Pages, and TeleBarbados, joined hands in providing patrons with a chance to “Win x 4!” when they filled out an entry form collected from participating booths.
On the final day of the Expo, Mrs. Spencer was chosen from among thousands of entries as the lucky person to be awarded the bundled package of a $1,000 bank account from Butterfield, $1,000 in paint from Harris Paints, a 32-inch TV from Barbados Yellow Pages, and an iPad 2 from TeleBarbados.

Still somewhat shocked at having won the prize, Mrs. Spencer said she visited the Expo to see what new and exciting changes she could make to her home:
“I’m always looking at ways to make my home more comfortable, and the Home Expo was a good opportunity to see what was out there on the market. What I certainly did not expect was to come out of it with such an amazing set of prizes, but I would certainly like to thank Butterfield, Harris Paints, Barbados Yellow Pages, and TeleBarbados for presenting me with items that my family will utilize fully and enjoy for a long time.”
Speaking on behalf of the sponsors, Marketing Officer at Butterfield, Nicola Greaves, congratulated Mrs. Spencer and thanked all other patrons for attending the Expo:
“Our intention in offering a group prize was to make the dream of one patron come through, in some small way and we are happy to have been able to do just that for Mrs. Spencer. This is an example of how companies can work together, and we look forward to future partnerships and collaborations.”
The 2011 Butterfield Home Expo was designed to attract prospective and existing homeowners, persons interested in landscaping as well as do-it-yourself enthusiasts, and featured exhibits from a number of new and established companies.
