The Cayman Islands are a British dependent territory nestled in the clam, turquoise waters of the western Caribbean Sea, consisting of three main islands with a total area of approximately 100 square miles, located about 500 miles west of Jamaica. With no direct taxation, the islands are a thriving offshore financial centre.

These sunny islands comprised of Cayman Brac, Little Cayman and Grand Cayman, home of George Town, the capital. Grand Cayman, the largest of the three islands is approximately 22 miles long with an average width of 4 miles. The highest point is 55 feet above sea level.

The population is estimated at about 57,000 representing a variety of cultures including Jamaica, the Philippines, the UK, Canada and the US.
